Veterinary Assistant
If you are a student in a veterinary assistant, veterinary technology or pre-veterinary program and wish to gain valuable hospital experience, please consider applying as a veterinary assistant. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for kennel/boarding duties including cleaning, walking dogs, feeding and administering medications. Our assistants also help with patient care and treatments, blood draws, lab testing, radiology and checking patients in and out of the hospital. We require availability of 20 hours per week across day, evening and weekend shifts – but will work around your class schedule as much as possible.

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
As CVT, your primary function is providing excellent patient care and client education. Your focus will be primarily in Outpatient Services – assisting the doctor with appointments, laboratory processing, cytologies, radiology and client interaction. Strong pharmacology and surgery assisting skills are also required. Our preference is full time availability (36-40 hours per week) across day, evening and weekend shifts.

Volunteers
Not a student or already certified? We encourage people to consider volunteering with us. Our patients (and residents) love having the extra attention. It is a great way to gain hospital experience as well as experience with many different dogs and cats. Our volunteers help by cuddling animals, providing TLC, cleaning and stocking.
